As part of the Group, which consists of plants covering the whole of Poland, operates: 9 production and service plants, a cold storage facility, two wholesalers of fresh products, Thanks to extensive cooperation with global food corporations, as well as with recognized scientific and research institutions, the manufacturer’s products are known throughout the world.

Advantages of moving to the cloud

The client decided to move Asseco Softlab’s central ERP system to the cloud for several reasons.

The main factor was:

1. speed of implementation without disrupting the work of the company’s branches.

The client opted for migration because of the fastest possible transfer of resources to an appropriately sized high-performance system. The transfer of systems to the cloud from the moment of the order was possible after just 7 days.

The same deployment in the traditional model would not have been possible due to the long procurement processes for high-performance servers.

2 Reduce design risk with scalable performance.

This means that if the solution is implemented and needs change, the cloud solution can increase its computing and volume capabilities. In case the size of the database and computation on the database increases in the future, we can increase the capacity of the system in seconds. Thanks to Virtual stack, we can increase the capacity of the system with a few clicks of the console which means we can automate the process of increasing capacity.

3. speed of operation and maintain full integration of all facilities.

Scattered customer sites are now no longer a problem. Changing locations or adding new locations is now just a few clicks away. Remote work for accountants and key employees is faster and easier. All the data of each factory is available from a single ERP program database, which means more efficient reports and easy integration of inter-plant flows.
The system is hosted on a high-performance computing cloud, which provides resources with a guaranteed 1Gbit/s connection in both directions.

4 Cost containment.

In the form of cloud computing, we do not incur startup costs for the purchase of equipment. We do not wait for delivery and we do not incur the cost of installation service and startup. Due to the fact that the cloud is located in DATACENTER such costs as:

Security and redundancy

We realize that any IT environment carries the possibility of data loss. That’s why we have provided appropriate configuration and additional security for various scenarios. The system is even resistant to complete destruction of DATACENTER. In the event of failure of one of the data centers, the system switches to a remote second server environment of the same type located 500 kilometers from the site of the main center. Replication of the environments takes place online and the centers are connected to each other by a 10Gbit/s network. Data and security copies are made to other also remote data centers while maintaining full transmission and data encryption. At the customer’s special request, the system also delivers the security copy to the customer’s premises where it is saved on a special offline medium.
