Azure migration

We move servers and apps to Microsoft Azure with a plan and tests. We choose the migration window so the company barely feels the change, and after launch the environment runs stably.

A cloud migration is not a one-off copy of a server. You have to anticipate dependencies between apps, performance, costs and how to roll back if something goes wrong. That is why every migration is preceded by an inventory and a test, not by an administrator courage.

What we move

Servers, apps and data moved to Azure with a plan, a trial and minimal downtime.

  • Servers and machines

We move physical and virtual servers to machines in Azure, sizing them to real load, not blindly.

  • Apps and dependencies

We map what talks to what, so after the switchover no app is cut off from a database or a service.

  • Data and databases

We move databases and data volumes with a completeness check, so after migration nothing disappears or drifts apart.

  • Test before production

We trial the migration in a test environment and check performance and app behaviour before we go live.

  • Rollback plan

We keep the option to fall back to the old environment until the new one confirms it runs stably.

  • Secure configuration

Network, access through Entra ID, MFA and backup are set up right at migration, so the environment starts secured.

The most common mistake in a cloud migration

The classic is moving a server one to one, without checking what it talks to. The app starts in Azure, but cannot see the database that stayed on-premises, the licence stops working outside the old network, and the integration with the accounting system goes silent. The result: the company is down, and a migration planned for one evening stretches over several days.

That is why we start from an inventory and a dependency map, not from copying. We set the order of moving, size the machines to load and test operation in a trial environment. We plan the production switchover in a window matched to the company and hold a rollback plan until the new environment proves it is stable. Downtime then comes down to the necessary minimum.

How we run the project

The migration goes in stages: inventory, test, production, stabilisation. Risk surfaces in the test.

  • dependency mapbefore the first move
  • trial runperformance checked before production
  • minimal downtimewindow matched to the company
  • rollback planuntil the new environment confirms
  1. Inventory. We list servers, apps, data and dependencies. Without that map every migration is a lottery, so we start with it.
  2. Test in a trial environment. We move a trial and check performance and app behaviour. We make fixes before production starts.
  3. Production and switchover. We move resources in the set order and switch over in a window matched to the company, watching over continuity of work.
  4. Stabilisation. After launch we watch the environment, tune performance and costs, and hold the rollback plan until confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

How long will the company be unavailable during migration?

We limit downtime to the switchover window, matched to how the company works, often outside peak hours. Thanks to tests in a trial environment, the switchover itself is short and predictable.

What if something does not work after migration?

Until stability is confirmed we hold a rollback plan to the old environment. If a test reveals a problem, we solve it before production, not on a working company.

Will migration reduce or increase costs?

It depends on the load, but during migration we size the machines to real needs and set up cost controls, so the environment in Azure is not oversized.

What happens after the migration is done?

We can take over ongoing maintenance of the Azure environment: monitoring, updates, security, backup and cost control, under a separate ongoing service.
