Website and app maintenance
A website and app that nobody looks after do not stand still, they age: gaps appear, plugins stop working, and one day the site goes down. We take over updates, monitoring, backups and security, so it simply works.
- ISO/IEC 27001
- 3000+ workstations
- Since 2017
Launching a site is the beginning, not the end. Without regular technical care, every website and app becomes slower, less secure and more failure-prone over time. We keep them in shape, so that a problem does not catch you off guard at the worst moment.
What technical care covers
A set of tasks that keep the site working, fast and secure.
-
Updates and fixes
We apply updates to the system, plugins and libraries, testing that the site still works correctly afterwards. An outdated component is the most common route for a break-in.
-
Uptime monitoring
We track the availability and performance of the site around the clock. You hear about an outage from us, not from an irritated customer.
-
Backups
We regularly back up files and the database, so that after a faulty change or an attack a working version can be restored quickly.
-
Security
We close known vulnerabilities, keep an eye on certificates and configuration, and catch suspicious traffic before it does damage.
-
Small changes
We carry out ongoing content and configuration fixes, so that small things do not wait for weeks for a free moment.
The most common mistake, a site left to its own devices
A typical scenario looks like this: a site is built, works great and for a year or two nobody touches it, because why would they. In that time dozens of updates that close security gaps are released, and nobody applies them. It takes just one automated attack scanning the internet for old versions of popular systems, and the site is taken over, defaced or used to send spam. Recovering it is often many times more expensive and slower than monthly care.
Maintenance is about someone applying those updates as they come, checking that things work afterwards and keeping backups in case something does go wrong. It is background work that is not visible day to day, and that is exactly why it is easy to put off. It becomes visible only when it is missing and the site is down. Our job is to make sure that moment never comes.
What working together looks like
Ongoing care, a predictable scope and a single point of contact.
- 24/7availability monitoring
- regularupdates and backups
- 8:00-18:00ticket handling on business days
- reportperiodic summary of the work
- Initial review. At the start we check the state of the site, the versions of components and the configuration. We catch up on the backlog before we begin routine care.
- Recurring work. We carry out updates, backups and security reviews to an agreed rhythm, not only when something breaks.
- Response to tickets. You report ongoing fixes and problems through one channel. We treat outages as a priority and keep you informed of the status.
Model rozliczeń
We bill maintenance as a fixed monthly fee, matched to the number of sites and the scope of care. You pay for a smoothly running site, not for each individual intervention.
Included
- Updates to the system, plugins and libraries
- Availability and performance monitoring
- Regular backups
- A pool of hours for small changes
Beyond the plan
- Larger development work and rebuilds
- Site performance optimisation
- Interventions outside agreed hours
The subscription covers care and small changes. We quote feature expansion and new modules as a separate project.
Frequently asked questions
Does maintenance only cover WordPress sites?
No. We look after sites on popular CMS systems as well as company applications. We match the scope of work to the technology the site is built in.
Can updates break a working site?
It is a real risk, which is why we apply updates carefully and check that things work after installing them. A backup from before the change lets us quickly revert if something behaves differently than expected.
How does maintenance differ from hosting?
Hosting is the infrastructure the site runs on. Maintenance is care of the site itself: its code, updates and security. We often combine the two, but they are two separate services.
What if we have no documentation or access?
We will manage. At the start we do a review and put access and configuration in order. Tidying up a neglected site is part of our work, not a condition for starting it.
