Why identity matters more than the firewall
A company now works in the cloud, on laptops outside the office and on personal phones. The classic wall around the network stopped protecting anything, because the data is reachable from the internet anyway. The real boundary has become identity: who signs in, from where and from which device.
That is why a stolen password is now the shortest route into a company. An attacker does not need to break through defences, it is enough to sign in as an employee. Entra ID with MFA and conditional access means a password alone is no longer enough, and an unusual sign-in attempt is blocked or verified further before anyone reaches email or files.

Frequently asked questions
What is conditional access?
It is a set of rules that decide the conditions for signing in. They take account of device, location and risk level. Signing in from a known, managed laptop goes smoothly, while an attempt from an unknown device or an unusual country is blocked or requires extra verification.
Will MFA make work harder for the team?
Well-configured MFA is almost invisible in daily work. The extra confirmation appears mainly with unusual sign-ins, and on trusted devices the company can deliberately skip it. The cost to the user is minimal, and the security benefit is huge.
We already have Microsoft 365, is Entra ID a separate cost?
Basic Entra ID is part of Microsoft 365, so you usually do not pay separately for the product itself. Advanced features, such as full risk-based conditional access, need a higher licence. We advise on which plan really pays off at your scale.
What happens to access when an employee leaves?
Disabling one account in Entra ID removes access to email, files and apps at once. We put the process in order so that a leaver means an immediate loss of access, without forgotten accounts working for months.
